Obtaining Australian Registration
Whilst you can onboard with us at any time, we cannot offer you work until your Australian registration or professional recognition is finalized. The time it takes to finish this process varies, so please factor this preparation time into your travel plans.
Regulated Professions:
New Zealand allied health practitioners in the following disciplines can have their qualifications recognized in Australia under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (TTMR) agreement.
Radiography
Occupational Therapy
Pharmacy
Physiotherapy
Podiatry
Psychology
You will need to obtain registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) via the relevant Accreditation Board.

Self-Regulated Professions:
New Zealand allied health practitioners in the following disciplines must apply to the relevant Australian professional association to have their qualifications recognised.
Dieticians must hold Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dieticians Australia.
Sonographers must hold Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry (ASAR) accreditation and be included on the registry to be eligible to work in Australia.
Social Workers must gain recognition through the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), which has a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board (NZSWRB).
Speech Pathologists must have their qualifications assessed by Speech Pathology Australia. There are two different application processes depending on your current certifications.
